APN TALKS WITH JOHN BROGDEN
The APN Medical and Allied Health Forum has announced a special guest for its inaugural APN Talks event, Mr John Brogden AM, Honorary International President of LifeLine International and a long-time friend and staunch supporter of the Armenian-Australian community.
This event will be an opportunity to hear from Brogden, who will discuss "Making mental health advocacy a priority - an overview of mental health challenges for health care professionals and the community at large".
John's career in politics started when he became a member of the Parliament of New South Wales in 1996. In 2002, he was elected Leader of the Opposition on his 33rd birthday. John's passion for mental illness recovery stems from his own suicide attempt which marked a turning point in his life and reframed the public discourse around depression and suicide.
